True enough...

a pellet that breaks the sound barrier does lose some accuracy on long range shots, this happens to all pellets that break the the sound barrier, they tend to wobble a little in flight.

But, I guess you didn't understand what I was referring to, when I recommended these pellets for extra fps, I talking more about using them from time to time for close range hunting, where more power could be needed, like in that video of a "Pig vs. Gamo", made by Gamo, that is why I posted the video. But then again, it is also a option for some high powered fun target shooting.

I truly doubt that these pellets can ruin a air gun's rifling, since they are gold plated, gold is a lot more softer than steel and although the alloy used in these pellets is lighter than lead, the alloy used is a lot softer than steel. I would not recommend a pellet made of solid steel, since that would ruin a air gun's rifling. I am not sure if the PBA alloy is harder than lead, I will do a test later on.

I also think that Gamo has come up with a good idea, lead pellets do contaminate the environment, this new alloy the PBA pellets are made of, do not contaminate the environment. Making these pellets a good option for outdoor hunting or for that matter any type of outdoor shooting.

This is what this forum is all about, options in air guning, it is your choice, you may use these pellets, you may lube your air gun for extra fps or you may not.

Like I said, it is your choice.
