A few months back I did...

a test with a 1"x5" board of wood, I also posted the test on my forum. I used my old Chinese B-4-2 (about 750 fps using lead pellets), .177 cal. for the test. I shot a lead Crosman pointed pellet at the board from a distance of 10 yards, the lead Crosman pointed pellet went half way thru the board. Then I shot a PBA at the same board, same distance with the same air gun, the PBA pellet went right thru the board. Due to past testing I have done http://air_guns.tripod.com/index.htm, I can say that the fps the PBA pellet did to go thru the board would have to be at least in the 900 fps range.

This test was good enough for me, that is why from time to time I recommend these pellets for close distance hunting or fun outdoor shooting.

Nice meeting you troop.
Take care.
Sincerely,
Eddie
