I thought it was pretty classless for them to boo the Pens after the game and while they were hoisting the cup. I may be wrong, but I remember the Pens fans being pretty darn respectful of the Wings last year after they won the cup in the Steel City.
If that had been the Memorial Cup Final in Spokane, and the Chiefs fans had acted like the Wings fan did, I would have been embarrassed.
The Penguins deserved to win the Cup, plain and simple, I know some of the Wings fans were upset and bitter, but damn, respect the Cup. By booing the Pens it makes it seem as if they didn't deserve to win it, which makes it seem as if the Wings, weren't really a worthy opponent, in my book. It made it seem as if the Pens were undeserving, which I took to be kind of a shot at Detroit's beloved, Wings.
I know I haven't been a fan of hockey as long as many of you on here, but that is how I viewed it. I was impressed with the Penguins team, and disappointed with the Wings fans.
