the draft is currently at pick #33 and there are only 3 or 4 more WHL teams in front of the Chiefs now, so I doubt that Spokane will look to trade up at this point.
This import draft seems like a gigantic crap shoot, its hard for teams with the budget and resources that WHL teams have to really deeply scout some of these European leagues. The Chiefs have drafted some of the best players in franchise history in the CHL import draft, and have draft some players, that were extremely forgettable and simply weren't WHL quality players.
The recent import drafts the Chiefs have had, have been better, so hopefully, Speltz and the scouts have found a better system for determining talent overseas.
