good (bad)olddays

my experience of the worst away grounds to visit between 75 and 81,allthough different visits were better
1.middlesboro ,my 2nd away game in the fa cup,absolute mayhem after the game,was 17, rear of escort ,an almighty roar behind us, massive 30somethings with beards chargeing towards us,which started a chain reaction of people running,falling,punching,shouting,police dissapearing,managed to get to station,people with bloodied noses ,limping,on train,half a mile then a hail of bricks hit train,welcome to away travel ,loved it .went there again over the seasons older wiser and no push over,that first time though ,scary. although at goodison ,boro didnt come ,saw 1 fan parkend.
stoke city ,1st time ,afterwards was bad,city aided by police when fought back,aggro all the way to the station,,other occassions nothing,
west brom were the gamest in birmingham then,every time i went there something happend,especialy going in ther end.
sunderland away ,arrived late by coach,huge men with kids who sould have known better trying to get at us,thank god for escort that time,1 coach versus all the emptying pubs
man utd away ,munich 58 ,mahem our mob from the paddock,day train told by police to spilt up , as if, 5mins later 40 agaist 40,toe to toe ,ran them.arrived at ground 40 against 300 ,were the f''k did they come from ,stand off for a few seconds then a tactical withdrawel ,controlled run,lots of other little everton mobs,all with different storys.,.man city ,walking thru mosside mid week cup replay,200 or so,seeing another mob and running them,turned out they were everton to
had clashes at leeds,derby,palace,brighton,sheffield wed,ipswich stoke,west ham semi final at villa and elland road,arsenal,chelsea and many more
everton never really had an organised mob then, just a series of seperate bunches of lads up for it,joined together ,no top boy ,just all for one and one for all.
