uhm.. mixes work best if everybody knows the basic songs so i guess you have to stick to mainstream to a certain degree. especially if you'd like to evoke some meaning by mixing different things together. and those are the most interesting mixes to me - weird titles or playing jokes by (re-)arranging the vocals, you know. i'm bored by the mixes are simply well-done dj-work.
