What tools are used for creating bootlegs?

I use a wave-type program like Acid. 60.98%
I prefer a full-on sequencer like Cubase/Logic 7.32%
I just like listening to 'em. 31.71%

or is there another method?

My mate records them onto Minidisc by plugging it into his mixer. I just bought a Creative Labs MP3 jukebox which I'm told allows you to record up to 48KHz quality using an audio-in wire thingy and saving as a wav file - which you can then compress to an mp3.
