WHAT?? SPEED IS EFFICIENT AT TREATING ADHD and THERE ARE NO STUDIES SHOWING or even "SUGGESTING" that DIET PLAYS A PART?
I don't know whether to laugh at the stupidity of a plan which so patently ignores MASSES of evidence totally refuting those claims, or CRY for our children because of the probably outcome in a year or two.
CAMHS are quite obvioiusly "STAKEHOLDERS" whether some members within it are aware of it or not. They have a lot of 'professionals' in the mental health team. Those 'professionals; MUST be aware of studies that have been around for decades, if they're not then they're hardly fit to be called psychiatrists at all! After all, if a few SSRI-damaged survivors can find this much info in a couple of days.. aren't educated qualified 'professionals', so called 'experts' in their field who have an obligation to research on the safety and effects of drugs on their vulnerable patients sure to find the studies?
So why do those who know what studies have shown regarding stimulants fail to acknowlede the results of those (and dietary) studies? THERE'S ONE ANSWER AND ONE ANSWER ONLY:

Far too easy for the ABPI to weaken "political" defenses.. BUT their intent was, and is, (and they are marching successfully along in their battle plan, very successfully so far) to WEAKEN IDEOLOGICAL and PROFESSIONAL defenses.
Well.. they've managed to weaken a LOT of 'professionals', all of whom seem strangely to benefit in numerous ways, and often advance a lot further - some to dizzy heights of recognition in the 'psychiatric world - famous convincing articles showing the "evidence" of efficacy of varous mind altering drugs, famous new disorders, media coverage (one of many.. 'Dr' Alistair Benbow - of GSK - on the Seroxat panorama programmes). Yes, theres lots of personal benefits involved for those 'professionals' who like to play ball with the Pharmaceutical Drug Barons - from plush luncheons to holidays to consultancies to ghostwriters... to recognition... etc.
However, the ABPI WILL NEVER WEAKEN IDEOLOGICAL DEFENSES.
DRUGGING OUR CHILDREN IS WRONG. IT IS CRIMINAL. IT IS MURDER when deaths occur. IDEOLOGY CAN NEVER BE WEAKENED. 'Professionals' who weaken were never genuinely ideological to begin with or they would be standing up to be counted along with the minorty of people with ideals, people like Baughman, Healy, Mosher, etc, regardless of the negative impact it has on their own lives. And if they had the guts to have done do so then countless thousands upon thousands of human beings would still be alive and healthy today.
SAY NO TO THE DRUGGING OF OUR CHILDREN!
The East Lancashire project would be excellent, if they ENTIRELY REMOVED THE PRESENCE OF DRUG PUSHING CORRUPT STAKEHOLDERS that want our children on speed.
However well dressed, however educated, however 'professional' the cloak of the individual or group..
DRUG PUSHERS ARE DRUG PUSHERS!
