HI,
I have taken my kids to developmental peds. It is a specialized ped who has more neurologic background and special needs background than your regular ped. He can recommend medication, therapy, or treatments to try. I am not a big fan of the ND approach. I have friends who have used it and their children were very diverse but the personalized programs were pretty identical. I think you can find many of the things they recommend much cheaper from different books. Some of the things they have in the program are worthwhile but others I have doubts about. A developmental ped would be covered by insurance, licensed by your state and have malpractice insurance.
Peace, Nedra
