Response to Bipolar

Oh MY! The brain is an amazingly intricate structure, isn't it? And even tiny things out of whack can cause so many problmes.

As you probably know, both my boys have been diagnosed with Bipolar as well as the typical alphabet soup of stuff. Here are a few resources that may be of help:

www.bpkids.org/learning/about

www.thebipolarchild.com

http://bipolar.about.com/health/bipolar/cs/kids_parents/index.htm?rnk=r1&terms=bipolar

http://topica.com/lists/HSNBD

www.nimh.nih.gov/publicat/bipolarupdate.cfm

At www.bpkids.org there is a wealth of information and message boards, I hope you'll join us. The best news about Bipolar is that it *is* treatable. Matt is so blessed to have you there to help him and advocate for him. ((((((hugs))))))) Be good to your self.

It's funny, my older son was recently evaluated for absence seizures. We are still looking for the cause of the "wooshy feelings" because they didn't find anything so far. When they finally get the brain unraveled I am sure all these things will be interrelated.
