Hello all.
I am a mom of a 6 year old boy that is in kindergarten at school,, I wanted to homeschool him last year but everyone said to give the school district a try, that that was best and such, so I did,, OMG how sad for my son,, he has multiple dx,, some say he has autism, some PDD-NOS, some a language and articulation disorder, but mom and dad know best, so after doing lot's of searchin and reading, we agree that he has ADHD and a language and articulation disorder.
I also have a 5 year old aughter with autism, she was mostly non-verbal, but that is starting to change, Thank God :). She is due to start K next fall,, she has been on early interention school and that has been the best for her, however, I honestly don't think the school district will do her anygood, and am sure she will regress,, however, I am not willing to wait a year and see with her, because for her that time is gold and dont want to waist it away.
I have been doing lot's of reading about homeschooling in the last year+,, and this morning as I told my husband my plans for next year, he did not agree with me, he has nver really.
So have anyone here dealt with this problem?
How did you handle it?
Did you homeschool anyway and your husband or wife notice the difference and now supports you?
I need some advice on how to go about this, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
beky
