Re: website address to PNG High Commissioner to Australia

Should we all approach the High Commissioner with Visa problems to take it up with the Australian Dept of Immigration? This is just a suggestion. This issues are not going to be solved by just general wider community members trying to deal with this individually. Each state of Australia PNG communities should pull together and address this common problem and choose a member to represent them and take the matter to Canberra in masses.
7mile, agree with your overall strategy, disagree with the details.

I agree with your solution overall. However, your statement that each group should choose a member and take the matter to Canberra in masses is contradictory. You can't demonstrate in masses if you send representatives, the numbers end up being too small. If you want a mass demonstration, everyone must go.
However I think we all know, deep down inside us, that the reason why the Aussie government has clamped down on visas is because too many of us and our kind have cheated the system and overstayed their visas. No amount of protesting is going to convince the Aussie government to change a policy that is increasingly effective at plugging up the holes of illegal immigration to Australia.
To Australia, we're no different than the Vietnamese and Chinese boat people.
