it's impressive that you know that.by mennonite (no login)
the bible's not a new book to me, but i'm not familiar with it on that kind of level. now that i think about it, i had to be reading from the first few books in the NT (i'll guess matthew since it came up) because of the NT i've read more of the beginning than the rest.
there are some things i couldn't do, or get behind. i mean it all seems reasonable enough on the outset. imagine i'm a JW, and my mom converts, and then some day she decides to leave. regardless of the decision she once made to join, there's just no way in hell i'd stop talking to her. i don't live with her, so there wouldn't be that. i'd have to now avoid her or something. wouldn't take her calls, wouldn't help out if she needed help with something... personally i refuse to believe that's the mark of god's hand in things. but that's me. i could never join something like that.
i don't want to put you down either, man.
we don't disagree that it's really sad.
as badly as i need a break from religious discussion, i'm collecting posts on people's point's of view on the qbasic forum itself, if you didn't notice. in the misc subforum. if you don't want to be quoted, leave me something i can paraphrase- a couple sentances would be alright. unless you really don't want to, which is cool too. i'm about to post some ancient history regarding an obscure thing i found on pete's qb site, which was actually... yeah, yeah i was bored.
