One rep. That was a goal I set when I started weight training.by Pete (no login)
Anyway, one rep at 300 was a lot faster than doing 300 push-ups, And speaking of 300 push-ups, this really old dude, named Jack LaLane, probably can still do 300 push-ups. I think he used to do 1,000 in his younger days. Of course there are two different types of muscle involved in repetitious light to medium weights and short-burst heavy weight lifting activities. I progressed in moving up in weight faster than the trainers at my gym, because I had a better understanding of both my own genetic makeup and muscle physiology.
PS And Bob, if you read this, what is your makeup like? I'm betting it's Loreal, 'cause you're worth it!
