We have 4 venomous snakes around here (NC)

Copperheads
Cottonmouths (water moccasin)
Rattlesnakes
Coral Snakes.

I've come across all of them, I think. The coral snake may have been a look alike - I didn't get too good a look at the colors before it went one way fast and I went the other way even faster.

We have 2 venomous spiders, the black widow and brown recluse. My sister was bitten by the brown recluse - it's one bad arachnid. Seen lots a black widows around here.
