The point of this thread is not to argue that evolution is true or false. It is to argue that those who believe it is true do not think there were "statistical improbabilities" involved.
They think that the probabilities were high (considering millions of years).
We cannot duplicate events of that nature in our small lifetime, maybe not in the lifetime of all humans before we destroy ourselves. But they were not "statistical improbabilities". They were, in fact, highly probable over that time.
If I have a deck of cards and an automatic fully random shuffling device and start it running, doing a shuffle and deal of 5 cards and repeating, what is the likelyhood of getting 5 royal straight flushes in a row.
