There is only one annual holiday that Christians are required to observe. Jesus commanded his followers to "keep doing this in remembrance of me." (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:24,25). Christians do so in obedience and gratitude.
This year, the memorial will be on 2012, April 5th, after local sunset. If you wish to attend, please contact your local Witnesses of Jehovah for the exact place and time.
In addition to the passing of the bread and wine, there will be a Bible based talk explaining Jesus's current role in Jehovah's arrangement.
Especially around Christmas time, people tend to think of Jesus as a newborn baby. Especially around Easter time, people tend to think of Jesus as a dying man on a cross. It is true that both his birth and death were important, as well as his baptism and ministry. But what is Jesus now; what is his current role? The answer will be explained during the talk on April 5th.
