Isn't it strange how some parts of the country are having too much rain, and we need rain? Old Mother Nature needs to even things out a bit. The sky looks stormy here this morning with the promise of one more moonson...we shall not hold our breath.

I just realised how clever these little Network54 messages are! They pick up on subject matter being discussed and target their ads to match (OK, so you all know that weeks ago). For example, when I was poking around in SGT class earlier, I was looking at some messages relating to parrot problems - when I got outta there, I was hit with several messages about parrots, including a book on how to teach your parrot to talk (not that the SST parrot need any extra vocabulary). When I was looking at the rain dance messages, I was offered all sorts of ads relating to shoes. Fun, eh? Wonder what will come up after I hop outta here?

That is why there are all those messages about cheese when you first log into the site.

If you read the nonsense at the top of the page you will realise that cheese is the only thing their search engine could really come to grips with.

I think that it is great - I have almost as much fun with the advertisements as I do the the threads themselves

i haven't worked out yet whether it is because they think that the only thing which will be left is our belt buckles or if they think that a seat belt will save us if a bomb goes off in our vicinity.
