I fly out to Malta one week today - Eeeeek!!

My Maltese friend, Roger, made me a list of "must see" places.

Bearing in mind that Malta is an archeological goldmine, with many megalithic temples and a custom-built 16th century fortress city, his list started (in order)

Internet lounge - Valletta
Cordena's cafe - Valletta
Sapienza's bookshop - Valletta

He knows nearly all my vices - he didn't list any stationery shops.

I was told by the lady who runs my local stationery shop that there are a lot of secret stationery freaks out there; it is a common but not well-known addiction.

I was the only one...

Give me a pile of notebooks and a fountain pen and I'm happy for hours

Thank you - I'm sure that I will - I HOPE that I will!

I'm meeting one of my daughters there; she is riding camels in Morocco at the moment.

Have a nice trip! I remember our little discussion a couple of months ago. Don't forget to bring a book or something to keep you occupied for the flight.

I guess a laptop with Starship Titanic might also do. Though your fellow passengers might be concerned once you get to the Succ-U-Bus.

I've never had a problem with flying myself, possibly because I had many flights during my earliest years. But one of my earliest memories of flying was not a happy one. Not because of being in the air, but because we were flying in a very noisy propeller airplane for several hours.

Have a great, and safe, trip! It all sounds fun except for the riding camels in Morocco. You have an adventurous daughter! I hope the camels know about the "No spitting, please" rule.
