Our friend would smile, but I think now he would understand.
Now he would know how many friends he left behind.
Thank you, ed.

This poem expresses what I think we all feel.

Your Presence

I carry your presence in my heart
It's nothing anyone can see
It's just a forever feeling
That lives in the heart of me.

I feel your friendly presence
From time to time it comes
Perhaps as a fleeting smile
Or in the beauty of a setting sun.

The way you touch me over time
Is a pleasure I can't deny
And your friendship that lives within
Will be with me till the day I die.

he's resting in peace.. but we (all, friends and family) have to live on with this loss... never thought the word 'forever' would taste so bittersweet ...

Although I like the poem, thank you.

Now I only hope the candle isn't 'Made in France'

Thanks for the poem Blondie
It has been a long and short year. I can still see him now in my mind's eye, and the hugs! I am 5ft and he was about 6 foot odd, and broad too! I used to nearly disappear!
