(...) If we want to go to living languages to find a plural ending, we may leave aside -r, which is used to some extent in Scandinavian, -e, which is found in German and Scandinavian, -en or -n, which is pretty frequent in German and Dutch (though in the latter language generally mute); and the choice thus is restricted to -i and -s. The ending -i is frequent in Italian and Russian, whence it is known in English in a few loan-words: banditti, bolsheviki. This ending was selected in Ido (with omission of the substantival ending of the singular, thus homi from homo "man"), the reason being twofold: a vocalic ending was wanted in order to make the addition of the (Esperanto) accusative -n possible, and on the other hand the s-endings were used as in Esp for the verb. But any one whose choice is not determined by these two reasons is sure to prefer the ending -s, as it is much more international, being the regular mark of the plural in such important languages as English, Spanish, Portuguese (and French spelling), besides being used in an increasing number of words in German (kerls, autos, jungens) and Dutch. (...)
- from "An International Language" (1928), chapter "Number", by Otto Jespersen

So Slovio prefers to have a "much more international" ending over a "much more Slavic" one. This proves the fact that Slovio-ists don't invent a Slavic language, they want to invent an international one - to be enforced on nations inthralled by future Slavic imperialism. Congratulations! Keep it up!

Inthralled; Slovo-ist: Gabriel please do not hide just come out! Although I am somewhat sure that you are not living in Cxehia, but rather in Eastern Germany maybe somewhere in Sachsen-Anhalt not far away from the internationally known Bauhaus, please answer my question:

How would you order fast food in Praha: dva hamburgers or dva hamburgeri? Dva cola(s) ili dva coli?

By the way, you article made me rethink my decision to avoid plural "s". Because you painted so bright a future for Slovio with plural "s" that I may not be able to resist.

OK, I admit, it was easy to see through this trick.

Slovo-ist

How else should an adherent of Slovio be called? Slovio-ist is correct according to both English and Slovio grammar.

Although I am somewhat sure that you are not living in Cxehia

If you are not going to believe in the fact that I live in Czechia, as you like ...

but rather in Eastern Germany maybe somewhere in Sachsen-Anhalt not far away from the internationally known Bauhaus

I don't know what you wanted to say by means of this, but never mind.

How would you order fast food in Praha: dva hamburgers or dva hamburgeri? Dva cola(s) ili dva coli?

Of course, if I were in the US, I'd order it as "two hamburgers" and "two colas". However, in Prague, I do order "dva hamburgery" and "dv'e koly" ("y" being pronounced [i]).

By the way, you article made me rethink my decision to avoid plural "s". Because you painted so bright a future for Slovio with plural "s" that I may not be able to resist.

Long live to the future Slavic tsar! He will probably take his name after his great idol: Juri Kustarnik I.

I don't understand what you were getting at.

Sovremuo, mi tolk imame din car, i on se imenit Bush W.. Ti jeg slepju, bezmislju poslusxnik!

First of all, Slovio developers are jeg slepju, bezmisluju poslusxnikis, because they are afraid of using another plural ending than that used in Bush's native continent.

No, because "two bikes" is dv'e kola in Czech, so no confusion with dv'e koly can arise.
