If you are new to this forum, welcome. As you may have noticed, over the years, since it's creation in 1999, the universal Slavic language Slovio has made great strides. The greatest proof of the success of Slovio is the fact that it had inspired about a dozen Slovio-dialects, samples of which you can see occasionally on this forum. The power of Slovio is such that it inspires strong feeling, both pro and con. The fact that it creates such strong feelings is the proof of its success. Slovio developers welcome all developers of Slovio-dialects to participate in discussion on this forum, and invites others to develop yet other even newer Slovio dialects. This exchange of ideas only supports and accellerates the further development and spread of the universal slavic language Slovio.

In order to accommodate all ideas, in recent times Slovio has adopted flexible grammar, spelling and vocabulary, to enable all contributors to give Slovio their own color, to adapt it to their own needs and ideas. So just please go on developing yet other even newer Slovio dialects and tell us about them. More about Slovio and its flexible grammar, spelling and vocabulary can be found at:

The lot of languages based on Volapuk were also a proof of Volapuk's success?

Hi Gabriel!
Is it possible that you are barking up the wrong tree?
---
I thought this SLOVIO forum is a platform for practising, criticizing and improving Slovio. Am I wrong?

If on the bottom on the page, there was written "Slaviansk forum pisalju vo Slovio", you'd be right. However, as there is "Slaviansk forum pisalju vo universalju vse-Slaviansk jazika Slovio", I conclude that the best way to achieve an universal all-Slavic language is to deprecate Slavophobic languages such as Slovio.

Slovio - the starting point..

I must say that Slovio (if somebody likes it or not) is the starting point for S-lingva and Slovianski. Although, I do not agree with everything that is in Slovio (according to grammar or some words) but it's true that this language was (we can say that) was the one the rest of us drew the information from.

In 2005 I saw for the first time Slovio in our magazine Zivot. Initially, I cooperated with Mark Hucko (even we had a call once)but a bit late we came to some antagonistic views to this language what should it look like.

I just wanted to change a few things in Slovio but he didn't want.
And it was the start point for creating the new language (in 2005).

And I am convinced that all the types of Slovianski had the similar destiny.

It is a starting point in terms of the idea, but no way in terms of the form.

....but no way in terms of the form.

Why is then Slovianski closer to Slovio than S - lingva.

If you compare these 3 languages, S - lingva is furhter from Slovio in words
and grammar than Slovianski.

That's just your personal opinion. Mine, for example, is exactly opposite. Because Slovio is slightly schematic, S-lingva is schematic-inspired, but Slovianski is completely naturalistic.

Slovianski (jazik, posredstvem ktori ja piszu tuttoj tekst) upotrebja ruski, ukrajinski i beloruski, pol'ski, czeski i slovacki, serbsko-horvatski i slovenaczki, bulgarski i makedonski jaziki.
Tvorenje od panslovjanski jazik nikogda ne zakonczi sja, tak jak prirodne jaziki nikogda ne zakonczut svoje rozvijanje. Slovianski tutczas ma (nemalo) polna gramatika i 1'500 slova.

For those who are new to this forum, user Gabriel Svoboda is the "inventor" of Slovio-P dialect, one of about a dozen Slovio dialects.

Do you really think that there is still anybody around to accept your statement that there is one-to-one correspondence between the terms Slovio and inter-Slavic langauge?

To be more accurate:

Gabriel, a member of this Slovio forum, "intvented" the Slovio-dialect "Slovianski-P". This dialect needs, in my opinion, still lots of change in order to "compete" with the standard-Slovio.

But there is one feature in Slovianski-P which I started to like more and more and which I may integrate in my Slovio-dialect too, namely GENDER. More about it later, I have to leave.

lavic environments.

The Slavic@ Intermedia centre is based in Ljubljana , Preљernova Str. 11. It houses an electronic reading room, a satellite room, and the editorial office of the portal. The satellite system enables users/visitors an overview, viewing and comparison of around 100 television programs from all Slavic countries organized in individual thematic groups (daily informative, cultural, musical, film, educational, regional, religious,…). Slavic@ co-workers monitor the programs of individual stations and offer help with the choice of viewing. Approximately 50 radio stations from Slavic countries are also available.

Some of the pinnacles of events carried out so far:

• Slavic@ summer nights in 2004 – topical events of cultural and artistic nature were intended to stimulate the exchange and flow of cultural wealth and artistic creativity: visitors regularly watched screenings of a new polish show Radio Romans (TVP); a Slavic film weekend was carried out (a choice of Russian, Bulgarian, Polish and Ukrainian movies from 1968 to 2003); also there was arranged the viewing of the Ukrainian presidential elections, etc.

• Muzika05 – once a week in 2005 a viewing, analysis and comparison of Slavic interactive musical television programs (Ocko TV, Veselina TV, Enter TV, Fen TV) was organized.

• Info05 – a similar event was arranged with the overview, comparison and analysis of news on daily informative television programs (TA 3, CT 24, Russia Today) – also once a week

• Russian language classes – held regularly once a week in the school year 2006/2007.
