The notorious Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba epitomized for many Europeans the arrogance with which former president George W Bush trampled on basic civil rights in the name of his nebulous 'war on terrorism.'

Now that Barack Obama has announced his intention of shutting it down, European Union governments are being urged to lend a hand to their beloved new US president by hosting at least some Guantanamo inmates.

As Martin Schulz, leader of the European Parliament's Socialist Group, put it Thursday: 'The Obama administration has started on the right foot by announcing the closure within a year of this outrageous detention camp ... EU governments must now play their part and support President Obama's decision by accepting inmates.'

EU foreign ministers are to talk it over during a meeting Monday in Brussels.

Da - I did make up at least one word: "protiagajut" = pro+tiagat = pro + to pull ...to create the word "to lend" using the Russian as a model. Slovio Dictionary only had "to lend money" Not right for this translation.

AND I KNOW YOU WILL ALL LOVE the word: "pereberibsuo" !!!

I could have made some mistakes.

To tell the truth (independently) the best readable text (among all of these published) is in Slovio.
Out of these 3 the best understandable for me is in that one in Slovio.

Wow, I like the Slovianski-N text! It has some spelling mistakes like cel instead of cel' (dat. pl. cel'am, loc. pl. cel'ah) but it's understandable which is all that's needed
Not sure I like "Jest' trebna" I'd write "Jest' potrebno"

But it's interesting how you were able to write Slovianski-N despite everyone saying it's too hard

I thank you all for your transmorphs and comments.
They are very helpful to me in seeing the "broad" picture in an actual "working" setting.
I can theorize about x's and apostrofi and passive participli "...till the cows come home" *
But actually seeing the different dialects "in action" is best for me.

As far as jazika versus jazik:
SLOVIO uses jazika.
And yes EVERY OTHER Slavic language uses ~jazik.
Unlike everybody else, I don't have "an issue" whether either word is used
I am not a "Slavic purist" for Slovio.
Perhaps a bit more "pure" for Slovioski
Communication is paramount for me..
ON THE OTHER HAND, for Slovianski, I am a purist champion!
And I admire and encourage the good work of all of you on the "SLOVIANSKI PROJECT."
