      MEXICO: EASTER WEEK UFOs

      See Pictures: 1, 2, 3

Ana Luisa Cid writes: According to a report furnished by journalist Francisco Rangel, UFO activity was reported over the Mexican state of Guerrero.

These cases involve images of "chance" UFOs that appeared in the "El Matutino de Guerrero" weekly and the "La Cronica de Chilpancingo" daily papers.

Photograph 1 was taken by young Irving Francisco Guerrero on a journey to the town of San Miguel el Progress, Municipality of Malinatlepec, dated March 19, 2008, approximately 14:00 hrs. He used a 5 mpix Kodak EasyShare.

Photograph 2 was taken by the same author. It is interesting to note what appears to be a disk that leaves a wake as it moves.

Photograph 3 was taken on March 21st by Lic. Javier Francisco Reyes, editor of the abovementioned publications, when taking photos of the premises where a Chedraui supermarket is to be built in Tlapa. An object that the journalist was unable to identify can be seen in the background, against the mountains. Lic. Reyes employed a Samsung S630 camera.

Argentina: Strange Phenomenon Over Madryn, Chubut

From about 23:30 hours Friday until 02:00 on Saturday, residents of Barrio Sur, Villa del Parque, Barrio Oeste and the districts adjacent to the Naval Station reported seeing a light in the sky that could be clearly seen west of the city.

It remained in view for several hours. It was a pendular light that changed colors and position. The causes for this light, and its provenance, remain unknown. One thing is for sure - it wasn't an airplane. A star? Hardly, as it moved too much. And the Air Force did not report any type of aircraft activity, therefore imagination was the limit, as well the eternal fantasy linked to UFOs and Patagonia.

The phenomenon, which was also reported for some hours by reporters from this newspaper, was very similar to another that occurred on November 21, 2005 and which was never explained. Both cases involve the same: A pendular light that changed colors from red to yellow, then blue to white, while varying intensity. Residents of Barrio Sur told El Chubut newspaper that "it was impressive to watch it move and shift colors, it seemed to grow nearer." The position of the light -- no one ventured to describe it as an object -- varied from the onlooker's standpoint, although the eyewitness accounts collected all coincide in placing it to the west of the city, or else the southwest.

According to the consultations made, no movements of meteorological equipment had been scheduled, nor any Air Force craft. "I watched it move. I had gone on a trip to the Naval Station and it could be seen clearly from there," a cab driver told El Chubut.

Friday night was very clear and starry, and there weren't enough clouds to hinder visibility.

The fact is that for several hours between Friday night and Saturday morning, more than a few locals wondered what the object hanging in the sky was, as a wide array of conjectures were vented. And this is how it should be, taking into account the widely available UFO information available for the Patagonian region, especially near the sea. Even Puerto Madryn is famous for a photo taken in 1975, which went on to be used in a famous TV series.

Punta Cuevas: The Famous UFO shot

On February 18, 1975 around 15:20 hours, a strange object hovered quietly over Punta Cuevas for 45 minutes. "After that period of time, and in perfect silence, it began moving away westward until it vanished," state the records of the case.

The photo taken of the object went around the world along with many other famous Argentinean UFO shots. However, this one enjoyed the privilege of being used in the U.S. TV series "The X Files".

In fact, during one of the scenes of the second chapter of the series, agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully find themselves in a bar called "The Flying Saucer" in southwestern Idaho, near an enigmatic air force base. Several UFO photos can be seen to hang on the walls of this establishment -- among them the Punta Cuevas shot.

Mexico: More Sightings by Aviation Personnel

Ana Luisa Cid writes: "The following information can be drawn from a report received from researcher Alfonso Salazar:

March 7, 2008.Several persons reported a spherical UFO with a sort of spotlight on its lower section. This was in [Mexico City's] Iztacalco district at 6:35 a.m.. Subsequently, at 6:55, another group of witnesses claimed having seen a black object with a spotlight over the the vicinity of the Pantitlán metro station. They estimated that the UFO was traveling at low altitude (40 meters).

March 10, 2008. Flight mechanic Julio César Camarena witnessed very luminous unknown traffic during Flight 734's final approach to Mexico City International Airport, above the World Trade Center in the southern section of the city. The sighting occurred at 4:30 p.m. The airliner was flying the Huatulco-Mexico City route and its registration was XA-MAE.

The 2008 UFO Wave in Argentina

      By Luis Burgos

      Fundacion Argentina de Ovnilogia (FAO)

      (Translated by S. Corrales, Inexplicata)

      PART TWO

February 10: City of Santiago del Estero

According to www.diariopanorama. com, professional photographer Roly Albarracin stopped the car while traveling with his family toward the Los Quiroga dam to photograph the rainbow forming in the sky between 15:00 and 15:30 hours. Upon looking at the photo in detail, he detected three strange objects that were unseen when the photo was first taken. Photo analyzed.

February 10; El Dean (Santiago del Estero)

The same source as in the preceding case indicates that at 19:30 hours, young Oscar Ruiz managed to record the transit of a UFO on his cell phone. He did not see it at first, but saw it late when looking at the photos taken of a rainbow forming at the site.

      February 16: Chascomus (Buenos Aires)

During a “nocturnal skywatch” by the FAO on the edge of the local lagoon, photographer Fernando Mengui managed to capture images of two “phantom UFOs” at 21:29 hours and 23:13 hours, respectively, with his Nikon Digital D80 . The first image shows an opaque, spindle-shaped object flying at low altitude over the coastal road and the second – very bright and sky blue in color – was captured twice during its flyby. Photos analyzed.

      February 17:Gualeguaychu (Entre Rios)

Silvia Simondini of Vision OVNI sends a spectacular photo of two “phantom UFOs” to FAO, taken by Elias Nieto in the vicinity of the Uruguay River shoreline at 11:50. The image, after analysis, is one of the sharpest UFO photographs taken in recent times.

      Mid-February: Famantina (La Rioja)

According to Radio Phoenix in that Province, a strange luminous silhouette floating at night was seen by various residents. This outline, associated to the ghost of a dead priest, has an humanoid shape and makes movements. Case under study.

      February 20: Macachin (La Pampa)

Fabian Romano of CEUFO was at the local air club waiting for the fog to clear before taking off in his small plane. At 06:47 hours, a luminous, powerful object appears over the Neuquen – Buenos Aires road flying at high speed. Seconds later, another similar object follows the same trajectory and practically accompanies the first one.

February 23: Frias (Sgo. del Estero)

Journalist Miryam Muñoz presents FAO with a strange daytime photo of a dark object, not seen visually by the witness, a local workman. The artifact is at low altitude and close to high voltage towers. Photo under study.

      February 23: Bariloche (Rio Negro)

Andres, a reader of the Rio Negro newspaper, wrote the newspaper saying that around 23:00 hours he had seen from on top of a tower, a very bright, static, orange colored object “like a flame in the sky” which remained visible for 15 minutes before vanishing.

      February 24: Capital Federal

Researcher Carlos Turus submitted a sighting that occurred at 22:50 hours to Taller Glaucoart. A nocturnal light (NL) flying irregularly from E – W over northern Buenos aires was seen by several eyewitnesses.

      February 25: Capital Federal

Taller Glaucoart videotapes an NL toward the N-NE, leaving bright flashes of light in its wake.

      February 25: Mina Clavero (Cordoba)

Mr. Adrian of Cordoba informed Taller Glaucoart of the presence of a totally irregular NL with chromatic variations ranging from red to orange, yellow to white, for 2 hours over that part of Cordoba, from midnight on the 25th to the early hours of the 26th.

      February 27: Macachin (La Pampa)

Once again, Fabian Romano of CEUFO in Macachin manages to photograph a “phantom UFO” – cigar-shaped – as a stormfront approached the area in the afternoon. Photo analyzed.

      February 29: Calamuchita (Cordoba)

Martha Nuñez reports from Calamuchita that another “phantom UFO” has been perceived at 16:57 hours. The photos show an object in the distance, white in color but with a solid core that stands out from the contour. According to specialist Jorge Luis Figueiras, there is no manipulation whatsoever nor any confusion with clouds.

      March 2: Balcarce (Buenos Aires)

While a helicopter belonging to the Buenos Aires police flew overhead, Luis Arabia took five photos of the aircraft. Upon checking them on his PC, he notices that a strange flying object “appears” in the vicinity of the official vehicle. According to Arabia, who submitted his photos to Mar del Plata’s “La Capital”, it is remarkable that the object appeared in different positions as he took the photos. Photo analyzed.

(INEXPLICATA wishes to thank Luis Burgos and Fundacion Argentina de Ovnilogia for this roundup of the 2008 UFO Wave over Argentina, which shows no signs of letting up!)

      Argentina: UFOs Over La Pampa

      By Quique Mario, CEUFO

Apparitions of strange flying objects in the skies over La Pampa are no longer a novelty. What is startling is that for some time now, their maneuvers are taking place in broad daylight, with the possibility to photograph them and film them with the quantity of technical elements available to us today.

This increase in activity lacks a given schedule or timetable, allowing for a number of interpretations. One of them leads us to suppose that "something" is being sought by our alleged, unknown visitors aboard those strange craft. Readers can make their own interpretation, since by now, all Pampeans who are familiarzied with the phenomenon to such an extent that those of us at CEUFO insist that the phenomenon is indeed "out there".

This illustration shows us the classic "flying saucer". It was taken by Luis Jerez in a neighborhood to the south of the city of Santa Rosa. What is important about this is that we are seeing the classic image of something that ufology believed to be "old fashioned."

Another important detail about this photo is that its author did not notice it until he downloaded his pictures to the PC a few days after taking it during a lightning storm over Santa Rosa in early February. What is surprising about apparitions of this sort is that they have become common amid storms, which speaks to the ability of these UFOs to traverse an environment that may be considered, a priori, to be hostile. Thre is no doubt that they are in possession of an alternative technology.

      See Picture.

      Argentina: Alleged UFO Over Balcarce

Luis Burgos of the Fundacion Argentina de Ovnilogia (FAO) writes: "Mar del Plata's La Capital newspaper presents the eyewitness account of Mr. Luis Arabia, a resident of the city of Balcarce (Bs.As) and a photo enthusiast, who took a series of five pictures of a Police Helicopter belonging to the province of Buenos Aires as it flew overhead. Upon downloading images to his computer, he noticed that three of the five images displayed the image of a strange flying object that was not visible when the photos were taken. What Arabia found striking was that the intuder appears in different positions in this photo sequence, near the helicopter, making it almost certain that the object was in motion.

"An analysis performed by Jorge Luis Figueiras, FAO's imaging specialist, yields the result of a disk shaped object with an interesting contour and solid aspect, presenting clarity in its upper section and shadows below, without deteriming the [alleged] UFOs distance and height. Modification of the color curves yielded circles of various colors around the figure's outline."

Argentina: The Sierra de los Padres "Phantom"

Luis Burgos writes: "Silvia Simondini of the VISION OVNI organization has sent us another curious daylight photograph of a UFO taken at Sierra de los Padres, Buenos Aires Province by collaborators of her organization, who have managed to take excellent photos of these objects over the area in recent times.

"According to Jorge Luis Figueiras, a FAO image specialist, [the photos] show a solid object with a protuberance in its lower section, which has been noticed in other cases. From another angle we can see the object with its typical "hat-shaped" UFO configuration, in a rotated position. UFOs are visiting these latitudes again while the 2008 saucer wave continues in full swing...

Bolivia: Alleged UFO Photographed Over La Paz

Photo taken by Maria Griselda, a member of the Ciufos-LaPampa group. The object visible over the colonial-era palace was not visible at the time that the photo was taken. Another example of a "chance UFO"?

Peru: Alleged UFO Photos from Macchu-Picchu

Raul Oscar Chaves writes: "The purpose of the first photo was to capture the lovely landscape formed by the shadowy mountains against a cloudy background. Upon downloading the photo, the presence of a possible sphere was noticed. There was a marked contrast in color between [the object] and the landscape, which was nearly in shadow.

"In the second, the idea was to place the presence of toursits on the mountain crest within the frame, represented by a plant decorated with a flower. The notorious presence of an object in the image's background was subsequently detected.

"These photos were taken by members of CIUFOS employing a 6 MP Kodak Easyshare digital camera."
