UFOS AND "MAGIC PIEDMONT"
In bookstores is a new work entitled "Piemonte Magico" ("Magic Piedmont".
Its author is journalist Enrico Bassignana, who dedicates it to "Mysterious
persons and places seen through the eyes of a skeptic". The book is
published by Priuli & Verlucca as part of their collection "Books on
Piedmontese Civilization and Culture" (160 pages, 16.50 Euro).
As you may expect, this one deals with a review spanning from ghosts to
witches, from Nostradamus to Gustavo Rol, from spiritualists to Satanists,
from the Damanhur community to practitioners of magic.
UFOs make their appearance in the last two chapters, with a discussion on
sightings and the ill-famed Mount Musine, featuring interviews with Edoardo
Russo, Gianni Settimo and Danilo Tacchino.
[Communication by Paolo Fiorino]
THE CISU AT CICAP CONFERENCE
UFOs will also have a part, if only incidentally, in the 8th Annual
Conference of the CICAP (Italian Committee for Checking the Claims of
Paranormal), held this year right in Turin from 6 to 8 June with the theme,
"The Return of Magic? A Voyage into the Mystery between Fascination,
Tradition and Risks".
The Italian Center for UFO Studies (CIUS) will indeed contribute a poster
about Ufology in the poster section, at the faculty council room of the
Turin Politecnic School, along with a discussion scheduled for Friday the
6th. Greater details will be forthcoming shortly.
