I am a young girl that has seen TONS of people in my family die because of smoking, I think that banning smoking in resteraunts and in bars ROCKS, cuz then it can cut off those wackos who smoke like 14 packs a day. Also did you know that beer and smoking are drugs???!!! You probably didn't, but they are, and the reason I grew up without a dad, an aunt, all my grandparents, and a sister. Between beer ans smoking, my family is broken up and sad. This is why I think banning somking ROCKS!!

I don't think that is what the writer meant.

What I understood is, why don't they spend that time, money and energy into stopping the MAJOR problem of drunk driving, which is killing innocent people due to the drinkers irresponsiblity and selfishness.

Which they have been working on. People are starting to go to jail for manslaughter if they kill a person while driving under the influence.

But they need to get tougher! Not everyone is being punished.

If you are out on the highway driving, chances are you are going to be hit by a drunk driver and NOT a cigarette smoker...

Also, the bible tells how drunkards will not enter into the kingdom of heaven, it doesn't mention smokers.

Have you ever heard of an actual case where a person died from another person smoking cigarettes? I haven't, but that don't mean it hasn't happened.
But I have heard over and over and over, how someone was killed by a persong drinking and driving!

I have been married to my smoker husband for 17 years, and grew up with a mother and father who smoked. I am 43 years old, I haven't died yet.

But I could go out tonight and in an instance, snap of a finger be dead by a drunk driver!
