One of the local vendors has a Gecado 15. Smooth bore brass barrel, break barrel, much like a "good" Daisy.
Some pitting on the top of the comression cylinder, otherwise looks quite nice.
Interesting, seeing the quality bluing, screws with the funny Diana nuts, etc. on a cheap gun.
Does anyone have more info? It it a BB gun? What keeps the BB's from rolling right out the barrel?
Not my usual type of gun and would be nicer with the Diana goddess on it but interesting just the same. Specially since I have several other of the Diana youth guns.
Mr. Porter, you really should invest in some of the ref books available (Hiller, Smith, mebbe Wesley). Mdl 15 is bottom of the Diana line, uses 4.5 ball or pellet. Fit of the lead ball in the bore keeps it from rolling out.
The Hiller books in particular are easy to obtain (through Rimfire & Airgun magazine) and are worth the price for the factory Diana drawings in them alone! There are separate volumes for Rifles (4th edition is the latest one) and Pistols (3rd ed.).
Thanks, I know I need reference materials. The Hiller books are at the top of my list. But as a Canadian, I figure that each one of the Hiller books are going to run me $80-$90 Cdn by the time I get them here.
I have been haunting the used book stores trying to find airgun related books. I look in every gun store to see if they have anything (only ever found the Wolfe book).
I have the Webley book on it's way, American Rifles on backorder, just found out Airgun Digest 2 is no longer available (ya, I know they're lame but they are reasonable price, plus I have #3 and the library has #1). Going to order
I have heard a rumour that due to the new Cdn registration laws coming into effect at the end of this year, the local gun shows will die off. So sounds like next year I will have lots of excess cash to buy books instead of airguns.
A worldwide organization of stores specializing in used books. Finding stuff there and ordering from them is GREAT, this site is one of the best out there. I haunt them regularly looking for books on airguns and other interests as well.
