Well I've seen a couple recently on the

auction sites for about $50. They appeared to be in good condition and functional. I'm sure Dave will supply some history on the gun.

Made in the 60's - 70's; when I sell VG (not mint) examples I can't get more than $35 for 'em. You see tired ones at gunshows for $20 or so.

Googled Slavia Data...

June 8 2005, 12:56 AM

I recently picked up a Slavia ZVP (#33450) from an Arizona airgun dealer as an intro air pistol.
During my prepurchase research online, I came up with a few links that'll get you going. As someone else noted, it's not particularly expensive. I paid $35... plus another 35 to ship it to HI.

I had also found a small photo gallery of 'zvp's target practice results with a ZVP, but I can't seem to dig it back up.

My 2 year old crashed the computer a while back and I am still recovering links! Love them Slavia's!

 William,

Sorry for the delay posting. Been on Vacation with the Grandkids at Disneyland!

I can't add a whole bunch more than the guys have posted! The rugged old ZVP is about as dependable as a claw hammer, yes it lacks many of todays refinements, but  in good condition and with it's preferred pellet, will shoot about as well as any similar moderatelly recoiling pistol made today.

 Mi

I finally added a fresh CZ TEX mainspring to mine (drop-in fit) and lightlly lubed the well worn and mated parts. She really likes the Benjamin domes, and will group nicelly out to 25 yards over a bench. The best fun is offhand with the pistol, as it points like a Luger!

I'll have to dig out those old groups mine shot for me and re-post em one of these days for ya, but right now preparing to sell my House is taking up all my time!

I hope you enjoy the pistol as much as I have mine!

BTW, the reason for the "Handle" was a computer crash, and I'd just got the Pistol so ZVP was easier to spell those MANY log-on times than Dave...LOL!

Parts --- ZVP

June 22 2005, 5:02 AM

Would like to know where or what piston seal works in the ZVP. These are great guns for the grand kids when they come over. Mine needs a seal pretty badly (250 fps) so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

 Hmmm... I realy don't.

However, you might contact Lewis Reinhold, he's an expert at marrying different leather seals up on these oldies!

Maybe CZ USA might guide you also?

 HTH,

 ZVP

ZVP parts

Thanks for the tips. I have a Chinese leather seal in the gun now but it was a loose fit and that is where my velocity went. When I recieved the pistol it had several small nails imbedded (sp?) in the original seal. Luckily the compression tube or piston were not damaged. The kids love shooting it because it is easy to cock and feels like a big gun. If I run across something I will post it here.
