Do any of you guys know what a main spring is worth for a 350m? I looked on JM's page but I'd like to stay with the original one. I'm in Canada and unfortunatly, the dealer I bought the gun from hasn't really impressed me so I would like other options to dealers. Thanks!

will exceed your power limit.

Keep an eye out for that aspect.

Having said that, M&G will send you one for about Euros 25.00.

BTW, Jim Maccari once told me that he quit making that spring because 99.99% of 350's owners were ONLY interested in power. I doubt you will find that spring in Jim's catalog.

Hi Hector,

In Canada, the only power restriction is for those who do not have a license. Any airgun over 500fps is considered a firearm and you do need a license to purchase one. I received my license about 2 years ago just before I purchased the 350.
I talked to JM about springs for the 350 and he also mentioned the power hungry owners but I think there was more to it than that. I got the impression that RWS and himself had a little falling out in regards to the 350, I don't no why but there is some hard feelings towards the gun.
I agree with JM to a point. Power can sell an airgun, but with power comes concerns on holds, recoil....you know what I mean. But I like to compremise. With a home tune, my 350 is shooting hard and accurate. I know there are more accurate guns out there but to me, if I can keep hitting those pellet tins at 45 yards, I'm happy! That is why I want the factory spring. The old spring is starting to cant at the ends. I'm going to get a custom guide made for the new spring.I'm also going to try JM's firewire spring as I have excess to one. I know it will drop power some but by how much, who knows!

Anyone in here read the paragraph at the top of the main forum page? Geez Louise the tone of the discussions in these posts seem to be going sour lately...

I can make heads or tails from some of these posts but....

if you're interested, I ended up getting the factory spring, machined a brass guide with a few mods, made a tophat and put a new breech seal in the 350 and it now will launch a .22cal crosman wadcutter at around 868fps, 13.9 gr chinese pellets at 880fps and JSB's at an average of 794fps. WAY SMOOTHER!! It hits hard, ask the crow I took at 40 yards!!!
