Just bought a new rws48 for my 15 year old and he has already bent the small round rod that connects the cock lever to the spring mechinizium. Glad I found this site. Where can I order new parts from?
I bent mine and I am definately old enough to know better. Just bend it back as best as you can.The hard part is installing it back and getting the right length so that it snaps shut. Easy fix.

I have heard it said that this rod bends by trying to close the lever while the bear trap is still engaged.
Is this the only way to bend it?
After (at least) 10,000 rounds through my 48 I notice a slight bow to it, however it still snaps shut just fine.
That's what does it. And from numerous accounts, if you lend your sidelever gun to someone, you might want to let them cock it once in your presence. Using the release lever even once seems to work better than being told about it.
