Have you put a scope on yours and if so what did you choose?

Any chrony or accuracy data you can share?

What kinds of problems did you have? Does the magazine provide any indicators if you are down to your last shot so you don't dry fire? What do you like/dislike about it?

Tony

Dislikes-Likes to come if interested

Well I’m new at this stuff. Most of my experience is in rifle and pistol competition. This is my first airrifle although I have had a IZH-46 pistol for the last 6 months to practice indoor bullseye. I live in town and use a 30’ range in my garage. With all that said, I have found three things that I do not like about the 300R. 1st is the magazine—it does not have a counter on it . You can dryfire it if you don’t count your shots. I have decided to solve this by loading 7 shots and only shooting 5-6 before I reload. Since I shoot bullseye pistol I count to 5 real well. 2nd you can double load if you are not careful. To remove the magazine you cock it 45 degrees and pull out the magazine. There is no stop at 45 degreed so you either cock it the rest of the way or let it back up. If you let it back up and pull it down to 45 again to insert the magazine you have to be very careful to go to full cock. If you don’t it will seat that pellet. Then when you do actually cock it it will seat the next pellet. Now you have two very close shots. I have done this once already. 3rd the rifle has a 17” barrel and therefore is relatively hard to cock. It says 33lbs but it feels like 50. That may be the whimp factor of a long time cartridge shooter but after a while it takes me two hands. Another factor is how to store the gun so it is ready to use. I figured out that I would load 6 in the magazine and leave the blank chamber over the loading port on the uncocked rifle as you would an old time Colt six shooter. Then when I wanted to use it, all I would have to do is cock it. With all that said I really like this rifle but with my tired old eyes I need to scope it. Sorry for the long post, don't have access to a chrono…Ray
