fired a mid- or high-power springer before the 34? It isn't like shooting a firearm. The action of the spring may feel like a firearm but the recoil is totally different. It takes lots of practice to shoot one consistantly, and hold technique is everything. It has to be the same- exactly the same- every time, and held so the gun can recoil. Hold it a bit different and it will shoot different. Spring guns don't generally respond well to a standard firearms benchrest, and of course it will shoot differently if you are sitting or standing. If you're shooting it like a firearm you're holding it differently in each position. Its not really fair to say the gun is bad after one or two brief shooting sessions.
Also, from a previous post, barrel droop is normal and common, especially in European guns. Most Dianas have some degree of droop, and nearly every break-barrel spring gun I have has at least a little, even if it isn't visible. Its the nature of the thing, and why adjustable mounts are a must have if you hope to properly set up in scope on a Diana or just about any break-barrel gun.
