doesn't always mean better, it means thats what they want you to pay for it. For general use, hunting and plinking go with the 34, its a long time proven performer. Caliber is up to to what you prefer, but for hunting I'd go with .22. Power is about the same in either caliber, 12-13 fpe.

i did some research on the 34 and i came across a topic about wether a guy should switch from a 24 to a 34 and in that topic it seems like the 34 is a great rifle witha long range capability but its a lot longer
im used to long rifles my airsoft vsr-10 is 1200 mm's its a little to long for me but its fine

I've had my

34 in .22cal for quite a while now, and it is a great rifle. I've done the de-bur and moly home tune on mine and I'm getting just over 15ftlbs with H&N FTT's with excelent accuracy. It is a pretty long rifle, but I find it quite light compared to my 48 or HW77k. It's a good choice in my books. Mulby

The combo

comes with a scope, from what I have read about these "combo's" I would stay away from them and stick with the gun only purchase. Then if you want to scope the rifle invest in some good mounts and a springer rated scope, it will work better with the right gear. HTH, Mulby.
