Hi, write me an email and Ill try and send you a pix tonight. As I recall the HV had an adjustable cheekpiece (not needed for backhyard plinkers or one hole shooters). I have a nice 75 porthole gun and it is my most favorite and accurate rifle, it fits me very well.
Hard part is finding one in pristine condition. There has been a couple over the past several weeks for sale with walnut stocks in above average condition. My timing was off by a couple of minutes on one listed yesterday. Frank had a nice one that sold quick a week ago.
There's a gentleman in Fallbrook, CA. who has two unfired 75's in the orig. packing and box. He collects Winchester Model 94's also and a few other weapons. Very nice collection. He will not sell any of them until he is ready to retire. I got tired of asking him the same question and getting the same answer.
I don't own any competition target rifles other than a couple of custom HW77's. At 6'2" the Diana 75 T-01 seems like the best investment for me rather than a 300 series rifle.
All of the TO1 models had the same action the difference is in the stocks they offered.
Model B.. no portholes on the forend
Model S.. long rounded forend, adj. cheekpiece usually made of Beech
Model U.. Universal model fully stippled long forend detachable palm
extender, adj. cheekpiece
Model K.. Same stock as the Universal model minus the palm extender and no sights. This model was meant to compete in Running Boar competition using a scope.
The HV model included an adjustible cheekpiece and riser blocks for both front and rear shghts. Otherwisa the same rifle as the original model 75.
Also the guys that emailed photos, thank you for your time and help. I have a much better idea of the differences between models and visuals to go by. Jon
The scope rail is longer, and positioned further forward. Like wise the lack of sights and a different barrel weight, The cheek piece has adjustable sliding posts with set screws instead of the two screws and stack washers. They are unique, and hard to find compared to the other models. I prefer the stock of the U. The set screws on the K tend to blow out the cheek over time.
