recoil pad will fit an RWS 34? Got a 34 and would like to get a pad as close as possible to the overall dimensions. Any other suggestions appreciated.

TIA

34 butt is curved

The butt of a 34 stock is curved. Most guns with recoil pads are cut square before the pad is fitted. Your best bet for a pad on a 34 would be a slip-on, unless you want to square off the stock and add a fitted pad.

Jim-- That's what I have in mind...cut off square. I'm wondering....

36 pad

Hi Dave. I put a rubber slip on pad on my 34 and it works great. Think I got it at Wallyworld for $10. It also goes up the stock about 4 inches which adds extra prtection to the end wood.

34 pad

The 36 and the later 34 stocks T-05 are almost identical.
I would think you could cut the butt off straight and use a 36 recoil pad. The older 34 stocks are dimensionally different.

Try a Morgan adjustable pad

July 30 2005, 9:37 AM

I picked up a brand new 34 in a trade but didn't like the wood butt so I installed a Morgan adjustable. Picked it up used on ebay for 20 bucks.

It's very easy to install because it requires a straight cut. Completely changed the lines of the 34 and it fits much better.
