I'm going to use a Harris bipod with my Model 52 (see my posting). I want to install sling swivel studs on mine.
Of course, you can always just drill a hole in the bottom of the forearm (just ahead of the stock screw) and install the Uncle Mikes' stud/wood screw. It would be a simple matter to install the bipod to the stud. If you install a stud/wood screw at the butt, you can use a sling.
But I'm looking for a more "elegant" solution. I'm trying to find out if anybody makes a replacement machine screw with a stud on the end to go in place of the RWS stock screw. Unfortunately, the RWS screw is larger diameter than the machine screw/stud sold my Uncle Mike's. Otherwise, it would be easy to just buy the Uncle Mike's screw and use a spacer to get it to project just above the bottom of the forearm.
Let me know what you decide to do. And post some pix, please.
