I recently purchased one at AirgunUSA. The safety spring broke after about 1,200 shots. I returned it to RWS in NJ and they fixed it and replaced the mainspring and shipped it back to me in 1 day. I was very impressed. It shoots accurately and has good power. I hold the metal piece under the barrel with my forward hand securely, let the gun balance itself and hold it loosely with my shooting hand to allow the spring to recoil. With this technique I get nice groups. You'll be very happy with the accuracy. I'm right handed and had to move the sights to the left one notch (from shooter's point of view) to line them up for vertical accuracy.
I have P5s in both .177 and .22. The .177 seems to like pellets with the 4.5mm head size rather than larger 4.52mm. The .22 also seems to have a tight barrel and likes Crosmans over the H&Ns that I have. They shoot well, group well and are a pretty nice gun over all. I haven't had any safety problems because the ones we get in Canada do not have a safety. I almost forgot, it has about the same power as my .22 HW45.
I recieved it friday and now have about 500 rounds through it.Chrony says the average speed with different pellets is around 500fps. CP lites,JBS Exacts,Daisy Wadcutters, and Crosman HP's.The gun is smoothing out nicely, has a nice trigger pull, and it shoots right where I point it.I'm pleased!
