Was wondering if anyone has taken off the scope rail from the main tube. Reason i am asking is because i plan to purchase a scope rail and then drill the 3 holes for the screw. was wondering if the holes go right through the main tube.
Better than two-part epoxy for springers: BISON LIQUID SOLE

After attaching Weaver scope rails and bases to my airguns, I recently discovered another alternative to two-part epoxy: BISON Liquid Sole; Cement For Boots and Shoes. It is the perfect cement for springer air rifles, because the rubber acts as a buffer to the wip-lash recoil. With the epoxy, if the scope gets a bang! it may get damaged (externally); with the rubber sole the scope will yield to the external force so as the shock will be absorbed, pretty much in the same way that even cheap scopes can survive on a springer if their base (Standard American Weaver with cross-slot transversal rings) is cemented with this product. I have tested the the rubber sole on blued receivers and the like and it will not marr the finish; it can be removed with a persistent and continuous PULL! Yes, pull it UP long enough and the whole thing will come off! When applying allow 24+ hours for complete drying @ room temp. before shooting with a scope on.
