I purchased this rifle around 1978 when I was in my teens. It hasn't been used much at all in the past 20 years. A bit of rust has developed on the outside of the barrel and I would like to know the best way to clean it. Also can anyone give me information as to the value of this rifle if I were to sell it? It's in very good condition; the only thing not excellent is the slight bit of rust on the barrel. Thanks!

Flitz

Flitz is a cleaning paste and works very well. It will remove the rust without removing the blue. You can get it on line or at a good sporting goods store.

If you're interested in selling, please send me an email and we can discuss.

Thanks

If You Have any Cold Blue on a Gun

Flitz will quickly remove it. I found that out the hard way, although a quick glance at the instructions (afterwards, you know) showed that they tried to warn me!

Regards,

Ed

As stated, Flitz absolutely won't harm the factory bluing.
