Howdy all

Both PP and Jim PGH told me about this place a few minutes ago. I went to the local gunshow today and I found an RWS 27. I have only CO2 and pump pnuematic rifles. However airgunitus strikes when you least expect it. So now I own my first springer.

The stock has a two minor what I would call "bruises" on it, not really scars just bumps in a closet I think. The rear sight appears to be all metal. The barrel does not have a single scratch on it, and on the left hand side it reads "Made in Germany" and also another marking that reads "D1 80". My assumption was that this meant it was manufactured in 1980, probably December. I also assume that since the asking price was so low that this must be an rebadged import of some sort. But then again I know nothing about this manufacturer at all.

I took about 8 or 10 shots out in the garage with it, seems to hit low but then I am only shooting 18 feet. Of course I have about a million Q's but I will start with just two:

I had to pay $32. too much, or just about right?
Any reccomendations on Care (oiling?), and Feeding (pellet choice)?

I hope all my newbie Q's will not be to annoying your willingnss to share knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Dennis
