Since I replaced 2 RWS mainsprings with the Maccari ones...

December 26 2005, 2:32 AM

I think I've -- finally -- seen the light!

I replaced two RWS (in Germany) supplied mainsprings on my Diana 25 and Diana 35 with the Maccari models (Beeman R7 and BSA Airsporter 31-coil, respectively) and haven't looked back, since.

What a difference!

No more harshness; just a gentle - but firm - pulse that helps in controlling springer accuracy manyfold.

Happy New Year!

What model gun? Lifetime warr. in U.S. from RWS

December 26 2005, 1:13 PM

Although there often is frequent spring breakage in the Magnum/Supermagnum models, RWS will replace springs under the lifetime warrantee. I went through 3 springs in the 90's with my 34 and finally changed to a Maccari spring. Never broke Maccari. I don't expect to have any trouble with my 24C for a long time. Got about 5000 through it now.

I did not know of springmans other site. I under stand RWS has a life time warr.
but I am a poor boy who has grown to love pellet gunning.
I was asking about RWS springs so I could fit them in different guns
I hate to embarrass my self and say this but I thik some of the springs
will fit chinese guns. POOR BOY! I hope to get a RWS some day. but right now it
has to be china (have 3 mouths to feed)
Thanks again Happy New Year.

Proud to have you among us

No need for apologies. I had to give up airgunning and other hobbies for years on end, so I perfectly see your point.

Indeed, some Maccari-made mainsprings are destined for Chinese-made air rifles. These are nifty models and are delivering a lot more than their price tag suggests.

I hope that you will find what you are looking for, soon.

Warm wishes for a Happy New Year to you and yours!
