Title says it all.

I used to have a C1. Great airgun, great carbine. Wish I had kept it. Is the RWS carbine version comparable? The stock appears to be the same as the regular 34/36. The C1 was really quick to the shoulder and pointable.

I dunno how it stacks up against the C-1...

...but my new-to-me RWS 34C is one heckuva sweet carbine :~D Its the shortest magnum-class springer I've ever owned (42" long I believe) and comes to the shoulder quickly and points and swings easier than any other springer I've shot. It's a bit nose heavy, as are most break barrels, but with regard to all-around ergonomics, its fantastic imo. The stock seems to be identical to those on other, standard-size 34s, though I've noticed it (and all the other 34Cs I've handled) has a much darker, more distinctive grain pattern and/or finish to it....very classy imo, especially so considering the low purchase price. The trigger (T05 unit on mine) and safety units on mine are both solid in look and function, the trigger being one of the best I've used. The gun packs a punch (c. 850fps with CPLs), losing very little in the velocity department to a standard rifle, and it is both very accurate and easy to shoot accurately. Mine doesn't seem to be particuarly sensitive with regards to holding or the ammunition (seems to like just about anything I feed it LOL). The carbine is just so darn handy without a scope, and the stock sights are so good, that I doubt I'll ever add any glass to the package. I do have a 30mm Simmons 4 MOA dot on it right now, and it seems like a nice addition so far. The dot works pretty well, and if it ever craps out, I can still use the open sights through it (kindda handy if you ask me). I may add an insert-capable front sight (i.e. RWS 36 unit) and throw a Beeman peep on it at some point, but for now, I'm happy with my handy, German-built, "brush gun." Sorry I can't compare it to a C-1 (I want one of them too hehehe), but I'd say it'll do the same job about as well, though I think the Beeman would win in the size/weight/handling department, if only by a slight amount. Anyways, I'm enjoying mine alot...actually considering adding another one, in full-size configuration, to my collection (most likely a .20 or .22) soon. I WOULD be putting a peep on that one, gotta take advantage of that nice, long sight radius after all

Sorry for the length & best regards,

No need to apologize! Thanks for the great info. I'm happy with my Diana 34. It is a much larger AG than the C1 is. Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I had never got rid of my C1. Oh well. Live and learn. I don't think I will get rid of my 34. Thanks again.

Dano, the contemporary to the C1 is the webley xocet

Dano, the contemporary to the C1 is the webley xocet carbine.
Simmilar action, but improved in may ways, true two stage trigger etc.
you just loose the awsome C1 stock.

The C1 was an older webley model, so the xocet or stingray carbines are as close as you can get.
