I just obtained a Mars 115 and I have no clue what I have.

It is in good shape, but seems to be missing parts.

Can someone help with an exploded parts diagram or pictures?

I am brand new to the hobby and this would be my first post ever.

still looking, but thanks

I originally made it through 15 pages of the forum but should have kept going, and going, and going.

I found two pictures on the internet, but both of them had full upper and lower hand guards. Mine has no upper handguard. It almost looks sporterized.

I doubt you'll find a parts diagram for these 50+ year old guns - what parts do you think are missing (i.e., whereabouts on the gun)?

the parts i think i am missing on mars 115

I think I am missing a chamber and or a piston? Some trigger parts might be missing also.

There is no cleaning rod and the top handguard is missing. The end of the stock has a hole for the cleaning rod. I think it may have been sporterized by a talented woodworker.

I appreciate any comments you might have, or any reference books you might suggest.

Sounds like you've got just the external stuff, a rather daunting project. The top handguard forms the upper part of the loading channel (you should see a groove on top of barrel in that area and a tin ring which is a loading cover), though it could also be used single-shot I s'pose. If you have a bolt handle it would be attached to the spring housing sliding inside the receiver; inside that would be the piston & spring.

You might try John Groenewold dba jgairguns.biz -- he sometimes finds obscure stuff in Europe.

Meanwhile, I have one that's missing the top handguard, front short lower wood, and front sight...mechanicals are all there, has a cleaning rod...$80 plus shipping.
