I have a benjamin 392 (3 years old) that leaks air. Anyone have any experience on repairing/replacing the valve?I can't find instructions on this procedure anywhere. I'd like a mac1 job but would rather not spend that much right now.If anyone has a Mac1 steroid upgrade tell me if it is worth it.
My primary is a model 48 in 22. It has a Williams rear aperature, and A streamlight base for mounting a stream light M-3 weapon light. The light from the m-3 illuminates the front sight painted hi-vis orange and illuminates the target. A tin can at night is not safe at 25 yds. I sanded down the original finish and restained it to give it a dark matt finish. I also removed the white buttstock spacer.mounted the sling euro style(side mounted).
Standing by for a reply,
Bill
I don't have any experience with fixing that leak but I was wondering if you are satisfied with the patterns you get with the receiver sight on your 48.

The reciever sight is a beeman not a williams.OOps
I am happy with it. For me it is easier to get a good sight picture and alignment using a peep sight. You just make the focal point the front sight and your eye naturally centers it through the rear sight.I filed the front sight so it comes to a point so I can get a "keener" bead on the target. The stock front sight is too fat for my liking. I painted it hi-viz orange because the sight stands out better in the late afternoon in the woods. The peep sight also gives you the advantage at long range where you have to hold over or cover the target with the front sight. I hope this is helpful.
