Lubrication Confusion??

Two sets of instructions came with my new Diana RWS air rifle.

The multi language manual says because of modern materials, no lubrication is necessary for the life of the rifle.

The English only instructions say lubrication of the compression chamber is needed only every 2500 shots. It also says to lubricate the cocking lever pivot points when they are dry.

I tend to believe the English version (every 2500 shots) but which is correct and why does RWS put in two manuals that contradict each other?

No mention of lubricating the spring chamber is mentioned in either manual, yet RWS sells spring lube. Do I use it? And how often?

I am curious to know how often you guys lube your rifle(s) and what parts do you lube?

Thanks - Brad
