Hi Guys....I'm sure glad I found this board! Anyway, can anyone tell me ANYTHING about the model 16? Id like to know the velocity, value, and any general info.
This was the second-smallest Diana 'rifle' - child-size with sheet metal construction, smooth brass insert barrel.
I wouldn't expect much for performance. Price that someone would actually pay will depend on what shape it's in, prob'ly $5 to 25 unless a rabid collector needs it to fill in his Diana rack.
The model 16 has a long history, was made from the early 50's into the 80's, plus there was a very similar model made for years before WW2. It is closely related to the model 15, which is basically the same action with a simpler quarter stock (i.e. butt only screwed to the action).
Like most older Dianas, the model 16 has a very nice level of material and finish quality, especially considering it's market segment. Made in vast numbers and not worth much money. Power--never owned one, but I'm guessing maybe a 250 to 300 fps gun in top shape.
