Recently picked up this interesting pistol. Like new condition in box. No apparent wear signs inside? Looks good.
Only shoots pellet about 15 feet if lucky. My first thought is of seals. Where can I get a seal kit and instructions. I welcome any thoughts or impressions others may have or experienced with this gun.

Thanks,

Ray Ck

The following is about all the information I been able to find so far specifically to the Diana 5 or Beeman 5.. Please ket me know if you have or are aware of any other.

"For the Record: Rare Beeman Guns" by Robert Beeman an article in Beeman's Airgun Journal 4 (1):

We first started importing airguns from the Dianawerk company in Germany, they were marked both with our name and the brand name ."Original." Almost as soon as we started to bring these "Beeman’s Original" models in, we negotiated with the factory to produce variations of these guns under the Beeman name only and under different model numbers. Therefore, we must consider Beeman's Original Models 27 and 35 air rifles and Beeman's Original Models 5, 6, and 10 air pistols as rare Items. Only a tiny series of Beeman's Original Model 10 air pistols were made with an eccentric sleeve around the rear of the receiver to provide for variable pressure against the web of the shooting hand. Again, .22" caliber versions were extremely rare versions of these scarce items. There are no legitimate specimens in .22" caliber of the Model 27 and 35 rifles nor of the Model 6 or 10 pistols. The very rarest legitimate version of this series would be a .22" caliber Beeman's Original Model 5 pistol.

model 5 repair

Contact RWS in New Jersey. They are the official US service center for all Diana-made airguns. They can either do the work or provide the parts.

Beeman, or John Groenewold in Illinois, can probably also do the work.

Older Dianas used nylon piston seals which have a limited life span. The replacement material is a greatly improved blue synthetic. The model 5 is a relatively simple gun and the parts and service should not be very expensive.
