Have made decision to get a 24. Company in Michigan has good buy. Just a couple of questions. Which is better for accuracy the carbine or standard barrel? Would the long barrel look bad with a muzlerake? Anyone know about the Crossman 4X scopes and standard split rings? Will this scope hold up with the light spring RWS24? Any other comments would be appreciated. Thanks. David

Good choice!

I don't think accuracy will be affected by the carbine length barrel. I have two full length 24's, one in .177 and the other in .22. Even though they are full length versions they are still not very long so I don't think a muzzle break would look anything but good. In the past I've used the Crosman scope you mentioned on my .22 with good results, it stood up to the mild recoil very well. I do prefer peep sights though, and the 24's are very accurate with them. The 24's are great quality and value, excelent choice!
