Winchester 425

I got the gun used from a nice fellow who advertized it on the "yellow". It is a 1971 model, in pristeen condition, recently given a "lube tune". I have 3 Winchester 427s (Diana 27) in .22 caliber as well, and this gun is a shorter version of them. I also have a Diana 27 in .177 caliber in new condition as well....but I like .22 caliber better. Have a chrony, but have not checked it yet. I'll do so in a couple of weeks (after a move). This little baby pops the Crosman premiers out smartly tho...and not twang at all.

Nice ! D-model ??

Indeed, most seem to have a .177 version (as I do) but .22 is rare.
Have you chronied it already ??

Anyway: very sweet gun. You should give it loads of TLC

Keep well,

Joris

.22 cal. Dianas

March 16 2006, 3:09 PM

Having recently shot .22 cal. air rifles, I was surprised how much I liked the .22 over the .177 cal. Consequently, I am in a personal quest to seek, track down and get .22 cal. barrels for my Diana 25, Diana 27 and Diana 35, all of which are in .177 cal. and shoot fine, but I find the possibility of bbl swap to the begger caliber, somewhat cool

I wonder if anyone ever made (or makes) replacement bbls for these Dianas, in .20 cal or even .25 cal.? I know that there are some current RWS models in all of these calibers, but forgive me if I am partial to the 1960s and 1970s Dianas (or Original, Winchester, Hy-Score, Gecado and under other brand names in which Dianas were once sold or marketed in Britain and the US).
