The Diana 48 is a powerful gun and works well in .22 (20fpe) , .22 cal ammo is easier to find and a bigger selection is available and cheaper than .20 , and at 800fps it shoots it very very flat .
You probably have already made your decision as to what caliber you are going to buy but if you haven't I highly recommend the .20. There's only .02 difference between the .22 and .20 but you will find there is a vast difference in FPS and the impact on target is almost the same. The pellets are a little more expensive but not much. The .20 is the perfect cal.. Good for plinking and hard hitting for hunting. If I buy any more air rifles they will be in .20 unless it is strictly a 33 foot wonder.
Is it posible to convert/reline a .22 bbl to .20 (or a .177 to .20)?

I must admit that from what I have gathered over the years from friends who shoot exotic .20 cal. air rifles, they seem to have found the sweet spot of airgunning.
I was wondering if it is possible to rebarrel a .22 (5.5 mm) down to .20 cal. (5.0mm) or a .177 cal. (4.5mm) up to .20 cal. (5.0 mm).
